Since 1958, The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences has fulfilled a unique role in Canada's health care system as the foremost educator of health care technologists in such fields as medical laboratory sciences, medical radiation sciences, respiratory therapy, chiropody and several graduate-level diplomas.

Students work with advanced technology in classrooms and laboratories where the focus is on hands-on learning. Class sizes are small and the ability to interact closely with faculty provides an exceptional learning experience. Michener partners with more than 150 clinical sites, including many of Canada's pre-eminent hospitals and health

organizations, in order provide opportunities for students to spend time in the clinical environment. This clinical practice experience allows students to apply their skills, work with other health professionals and interact with potential employers. Health professionals are in demand in many countries, including Canada. Michener graduates enjoy greater mobility and can take their skills with them around the globe.

Many of our programs provide degree opportunities in affiliation with leading university partners such as Dalhousie University, Laurentian University and the University of Toronto. Michener is located in the vibrant and diverse city of Toronto. Toronto has a lively arts scene including galleries, museums, theatre and all types of live music.
